Question of the day Responses

We poll our Instagram followers with a question of the day (QOTD) to keep a pulse on the industry and collect data that paints a broader picture of the injustices at play in the hospitality industry. These questions allow us to reflect,

    • People with power need to put marginalized coworkers in leadership positions

    • Giving marginalized coworkers a pathway to upward mobility

    • Making sure coworkers who don't speak english understand what is being communicated to them

    • Embodying practices of language of justice in the workplace

    • Centering those who are not able bodied

    • Pay for translation. Don't expect bilingual folks to communicate for you

    • We need to change management. Oftentime they will hire marginalized people into mgmt positions but they don't support them and blame them for failing

    • Both. Don't settle
